Welcome to my Barbie doll house project! I have been wanting to create this project for some time, it will be a 1:6 scale project for 11+” barbies. I never had Barbie dolls growing up so this interests me quite a bit, I am doing this for a special little girl in my life (not my own daughter) and think it will be a fun addition to her daily life and play. I will be posting periodically about this and you can also find links to all my updates in my Projects page in the navigation bar!
This doll house is going to be giraffe and rainbow themed, her two favorite things so far. Keep tuned in to see what happens next!
Currently this is were I am at, I have taken measurements and am just mock-covering things with (as you can see in background) amazon boxes and other boxes to figure out what I want to do. On the very bottom I will be putting in drawers and the very top piece will be a storage area. This structure is 6 feet tall, 3 feet 10 inches wide, and 1 foot 1/2 inch deep. One shelf is 1 foot 5 inches tall and 3 feet 8 inches wide which could make two rooms per shelf which will make six rooms or I am still deciding how I want to create this. I kind of want to make the doll rooms removable so she can take them on the go too!
